1. A very Blessed Virgin
Who believed in God,
Became a mother
In a very poor place.

2. It is there, in a stable,
Near the animals,
Miserable place,
That the very beautiful son is born.

3. “O Mother Lady
Pray the little child!
May any quarrel
Be calmed down by him.

4. For only reward,
We shall say to the child:
"Christmas, long live Christmas,
Cheerful triumphant Christmas."
