Data about the life of the work: First performed by a massed choir of 1000 voices with full symphonic orchestra and four of South Africa's best soloists, at the Standard Bank Arena, Johannesburg, at the Nation Building Massed Choir Festival in Spetember 2000. Conducted by Richard Cock.!Second performance by University of Pretoria Chorale and the Festival Orchestra at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival, conducted by Mokale Koapeng, in the Rhodes Chapel 29 June 2003.
Comment(s): The author petitions all who listen to give up their pre-occupation with material things and consumerism, and to rather turn their attention to the face of God. A very moving piece when sung with orchestral accompaniment.
