Irving Lowens suggests (intro. to the facsimile ed. of Wyeth's repository of sacred music, part 2nd, p.xiii) that White, who is represented by only one composition in Part second, is probably the same man with whom Ananias Davisson collaborated in the composition of several pieces first printed in The supplement to the Kentucky harmony (Harrisonburg, Va., 1820)."--The Western Wind American tune-book (1974), p.263. ; Flourished ca. 1810.
